As in-kind sponsors of the Ocean Startup Challenge, these organizations will collectively provide more than $48,000 in services and resources to the finalists.

Enginuity is a creative engineering design company. IGNITE is Nova Scotia’s rural innovation hub where entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses work together. IGNITE promotes the growth of entrepreneurship in Nova Scotia across industries, including technology, oceans, and tourism sectors. 

The Saint Mary’s University Entrepreneurship Centre creates opportunities to connect students with businesses through training, mentorship, coaching and consulting activities. With a focus on growth, innovation and cultivating the entrepreneurial mindset, the centre is committed to helping the Atlantic Canadian economy grow and prosper. 

Propel’s e-accelerator program based out of Atlantic Canada helps businesses realize their big ambitions. Set apart as one of the only 100% online accelerators of its kind, you’ll learn what it takes to launch and build a successful ICT company from where you live.

MaRS Discovery District is North America’s largest urban innovation hub. Its services include the market intelligence program, which is delivered across Atlantic Canada through a partnership with ACOA, and CDMN Hubs Genesis, Innovacorp, Startup Zone, Venn Innovation and Volta.

Venn Innovation is New Brunswick’s Industry Association for the technology and innovation ecosystem. We connect entrepreneurs with the critical resources to help them test their ideas, grow their companies and go to market.

Startup Zone is Prince Edward Island’s business incubator. Our goal is to accelerate new startups by connecting them with the space, resources, and supports they need to grow. You bring the idea and the ambition – we connect you with the necessities to get your business going.

Volta is one of Canada’s largest innovation hubs, located in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia. Established in 2013, Volta aims to be a place where members of the Atlantic Canadian innovation ecosystem can work, connect and learn from one another by accessing co-working space, events and programs.
